Ryan Lombardo, DAOM specializes in weight loss, wellness and longevity medicine. Services include medical weight loss programs, personalized genetic testing for diet and lifestyle, food sensitivity and nutrient deficiency testing, preventive medicine labs and counseling, acupuncture, herbal medicine and nutritional counseling.
Ryan earned his Master’s and Doctorate of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, IL. He also received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Certificate of Business from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. He is a Diplomate in Acupuncture, board-certified by National Certification Commission for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine, a Diplomate of the American Board of Anti-Aging Health Practitioners, board-certified in Integrative Medicine, and an active member of the Society for Acupuncture Research. Ryan is an adjunct faculty member of Midwest College’s doctoral program, teaching the Nutraceutical Science and Health Supplements curriculum.
Ryan is passionate about furthering the development of preventive and integrative medicine. He has been a “Featured AcuDoc” of the American Cosmetic Acupuncture Association and has been interviewed for Self Magazine, American Spa Magazine, DAYSPA Magazine, Dermatology Times, Today’s Chicago Woman, Natural Awakenings, the Chicago Sun-Times, WGN, and NS Magazine.
Ryan began practicing part-time in downtown Chicago after receiving his Master’s degree in 2003, and full-time upon receiving his doctorate in 2010 in the northern suburbs where he lives with his wife and two children. Prior to full-time practice, Ryan held various positions in management, consulting, research, and business development in the cardiovascular, diabetes, dermatology, plastic surgery and medical spa industries.
