“EltaMD UV Elements Tinted Broad Spectrum SPF 44 and EltaMD UV Lip Balm SPF 31
I like to be outside doing all sorts of activities: hiking, fly fishing, skiing, golfing, tennis, or enjoying a Chicago patio or rooftop on the weekend. When I’m doing something active I need a sunblock that won’t sweat right off like my daily moisturizer with SPF would. I like the UV Elements for my face because it won’t clog pores or cause breakouts, yet stays on my skin and won’t run off while I sweat. The tint on it is subtle and doesn’t leave white residue around my beard stubble. I use the Elta UV Lip Balm to prevent sun damage and moisturize dry, chapped lips. Plus it smells minty and doesn’t leave a bad taste like other sunblock lip balms.”
“My Favorite service: “I feel that skin cancer screenings are one of the most important services we provide as dermatologists. It is a simple and straightforward exam, but such an important part of our health. Regular screenings help catch skin cancers early and minimize potential consequences. The extensive training we receive in dermatology residency utilizing dermoscopy to evaluate skin growths and moles can help minimize the need for invasive biopsies that leave scars. Skin cancer screenings are also an opportunity to review what our patients should look for in self exams, and to discuss appropriate sun protection so everyone can stay save while having fun outside.”
